Connect Google Analytics 4

Send supported events to your GA4 web data stream. GA4 is analytics reporting; it is separate from the Google Ads connection marked Coming soon.

Where to find it

Google Analytics → Admin → Data streams → select your web stream. In Snackle: Models → Conversion tracking → Google Analytics 4.

What to copy and where to find it

Measurement ID: Copy the G- ID from the web stream details. This is not the numeric property ID.

Measurement Protocol API secret: In the same stream, open Measurement Protocol API secrets and create a secret. Copy its secret value into Snackle.

How it works

Why is an API secret required? A browser-only GA4 tag needs just a Measurement ID. Snackle also sends Fanvue conversions from its server, so Google requires an API secret to accept those events. This is a key you create for the web stream, not your Google password.

Snackle’s Test uses GA4’s debug validation endpoint. It validates the request rather than adding a normal event to reports.

How to use it

  1. Copy the Measurement ID and create an API secret for the same web stream.
  2. Enter both in Snackle, Save, then Test.
  3. In the link editor, Refresh conversion tracking, enable Google Analytics 4, and save.
